Appleford Today

Appleford is run by a team of local volunteers who keep the home and gardens in peak condition for hosting a variety of events throughout the year.

Appleford is considered the premier area setting for weddings, private parties, business meetings, civic functions, as well as memorial tree planting.

Appleford uses a carefully screened list of leading area caterers. Up to 210 guests may be accommodated for a seated dinner on the tented terrace. The house, which can accommodate up to 150 guests, is available year-round. The tent is in-place over the terrace from April through November. Also available are a three-room bridal suite and handsome groom's room for wedding parties.

The grounds and gardens provide numerous settings for ceremonies and photographs: the medallion garden, the boxwood garden, the perennial garden, the rose garden and the woodland garden are just some of the areas which have attracted attention. Appleford maintains its own greenhouse and gardening staff, which carefully tend specimen planting for the delight of visitors.

Appleford is a favorite site for business meetings and events. Numerous board meetings, seminars, receptions and dinners for important clients have been held at Appleford. Civic functions and Garden Club meetings are also accommodated. Appleford has also become a desirable site for photo shoots.

While weddings, rehearsal dinners and private parties are the most popular events, retirement, anniversary and birthday celebrations are also on the rise. Memorial services and luncheons following funerals have also taken place at Appleford. Memorial tree plantings can be arranged.

Appleford takes pride in the professional services provided to the party hosts and a representative is on site at all events.
